Answers before you send the files.
The questions engineering and procurement ask us most. If yours is not here, email sales@hallmarkpcb.com and a technician will reply.

Files & data
Gerber files, centroid data and a bill of materials. If you have already placed the PCB order with us, you only need to send the latter two — provided your Gerbers include the silkscreen, copper track and solder-paste layers.
If any of those three layers is missing, please resend the set; that is the minimum requirement for PCBA. For the best possible result, also send assembly drawings, instructions and photographs. Most assemblers do not ask for these, but they remove any ambiguity about part placement.
By default we accept Gerber in RS-274X format. The 274D format is not accepted.
We also accept the following layout files: ODB++, Protel .PCB and .PCBDOC, and Eagle .BRD. If you send Eagle files, please state your Eagle version so we avoid conversion mistakes.
The centroid is the file used to program assembly machines quickly. It is also known as insertion, pick-and-place or XY data.
It describes the position and orientation of every surface-mount part: reference designator, X and Y position, rotation, and which side of the board it sits on. Only surface-mounted parts are listed. Some CAD tools generate it automatically and some do not — you may need to configure the output before exporting it.
Orders & lead times
The general lead time for a PCBA order is about two to five weeks. That covers PCB manufacture, component procurement and assembly. Rapid prototypes can be built in as little as 24 hours.
Where you consign components, working days are counted from the date they reach us.
No. There is no MOQ on our side — the order quantity is entirely up to you.
Minimum 50 × 50 mm, maximum 400 × 500 mm.
If your PCB is any shape other than rectangular — circular or irregular — the boards must be panellised in an array for assembly. Send us the design and we will check it for you.
A system-generated email is sent to you from sales@hallmarkpcb.com with the OA or PI copy attached.
Yes. To confirm the final product before volume manufacture, add the note “send me photos of the first assembled board to confirm” in the BOM file, or send the request by email with your order.
Assembly & components
Yes. We can handle BGA down to 0.25 mm pitch, with X-ray testing. For BGAs we need any vias under the package tented with solder mask to ensure soldering quality.
We purchase all our parts from reputable suppliers such as DigiKey, Mouser, Semikart and element14, so we can guarantee the quality of what we fit. We also run a quality control department that verifies parts before they are incorporated into a build.
Yes — this is called partial turnkey. You supply some parts and we source the rest on your behalf. We will ask for your approval on anything we are unsure about, and if a part needs crossing or substituting we come back for your final written approval first.
Yes. Before you send them, please contact us with the full shipping information, quantities and part numbers so we can book them in correctly.
Yes. We need 10% extra components, covering passives and small ICs, to allow for placement loss and setup.
Yes, the price is the same for both. You must tell us whether you require RoHS or non-RoHS before the build starts, because it changes the process.
Pricing, payment & shipping
Our quotation gives the full cost of the PCBA, including the framed laser-cut stencil at 29″ × 29″. Pricing is quantity-based.
No. We do not charge any setup cost on assembly — our pricing works on a quantity-based concept.
Use the request a quote page. Once we receive your request, a member of our team will quote within 24 hours. Do not forget to enclose your Gerber files and any other files needed for PCBA, PCB or stencil quotation.
Our preferred method is UPI. We also accept debit and credit cards from all card associations, and more than 50 netbanking options.
We generally ship using Blue Dart and Nandan courier. Regionally we also deliver on our own dedicated transport.
We respect the privacy of all our customers. We will never share your personal information with any third party. A mutual NDA is available on request before design files are exchanged.
